Who we are
Moonhaven is led by Jenna Breiner, a dual-credentialed occupational therapist and IBCLC with over a decade of clinical experience in infant feeding and development. That combination is rare in Ventura County, and it means you get a provider who can assess latch, milk transfer, oral motor function, body tension, and tethered oral tissues all in the same visit, with no separate referrals or extra appointments.
What we help families with
Every family's feeding journey is different. Moonhaven provides hands-on guidance for latch and positioning challenges, nipple and breast pain, low milk supply or oversupply, bottle feeding mechanics and flow rate, tongue tie and lip tie assessment from both an IBCLC and OT perspective, pre and post frenectomy support, pumping routines and return-to-work planning, premature or late preterm infant feeding, and feeding after NICU discharge.
Why in-home visits matter
A feeding challenge at home looks different than it does in a clinic. At home, we see the full picture: your nursing setup, your baby's positioning where you actually feed them, the bottle system you're using, and the environment that shapes your daily routine. That context leads to better care plans and faster progress.
Moonhaven visits typically last 60 to 90 minutes and take place wherever you're most comfortable. You'll leave every visit with a clear, written care plan, not just verbal reassurance.
More than lactation
Feeding and sleep are deeply connected, and Moonhaven supports both. We offer neuroscience-informed sleep consulting based on the Nurtured Neuroscience framework for families looking for a gentler alternative to traditional sleep training. We also offer in-home infant occupational therapy and host Mom & Baby Circles and parenting classes in the Ojai area and online.
